Job description
· To ensure achievement of budgeted and agreed financial targets.
· To ensure effective utilisation of all people resources to drive productivity to targets.
· To control and ensure accountability for damage and poor maintenance of company assets (scanners, machines, racking, etc)
· To analyse, interpret and report business information to facilitate process improvement and improved financial performance.
· To engage, network and communicate with internal stakeholders, vendors, stores, and suppliers to ensure swift query resolution and ensure improved business performance.
· To deliver high levels of service to stores through accurate, on time deliveries, minimal damages, and effective communication.
· To monitor and maintain adherence to safety procedures, co-ordinate and manage emergencies ensuring a safe working environment.
· To lead and direct the Department Managers to achieve consistent process compliance and adherence to all relevant company SOPs, cutoffs, and daily reports.
· To manage labour brokers to the service level agreements through regular meetings and ensuring accountability for performance and control and approval of costs.
· Oversee all inbounds departments receiving, MACOPS and returns departments.
· To manage the HR management component of the department this will include performance management, talent identification and management, disciplinary action, and employee wellness.

Experience:
· Essential: 5 years’ experience in logistics at middle management level, managing stakeholders (labour brokers, transporters, vendors, etc)
· 3-5 inbound/outbound management distribution centre/retail experience
· 3 Financial Management/Cost control
· 5 People management business and management principles
· 5 experience in customer service
Knowledge:
· Conceptualizing solutions for Business demand
· Technical and system knowledge supply chain/logistics applications and processes
· Experience in implementing and managing complex picking systems and supporting such systems.
· Health and safety
Skills:
· Verbal and written communication skills
· Computer Literacy
· SAP
· Ability to work with business stakeholders and translate requirements into achievable process/IT solutions.

Minimum requirements
· Matric
· Tertiary qualification in logistics or business or similar
· Own vehicle
