Job description

Job Objectives:
  • To manage the recruitment, selection and induction processes in order to meet the Corporate HR current and future human capability needs and deliver the business unit talent pipeline.
  • To manage the effective implementation of the Corporate learning and development plan in order to narrow competency gaps and enable career development aligned to the operational people plan.
  • Directs the needs assessment for training and staff development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the company.
  • To manage the implementation of the Group Performance management process, including poor performance management in order to deliver a high performance culture
  • To manage the HR service delivery by ensuring high quality HR administration and responsive customer query resolution in order to build a motivated and committed workforce
  • To manage the implementation of the Business Unit Transformation roadmap in order to achieve the Business unit transformation targets.
  • To manage the process of timeous and accurate HR reporting in order to enable quality decision-making, ensure accuracy of masterdata on SAPHCM
  • To maintain positive, productive and professional relationships with all internal and external stakeholders through service support and enabling delivery and implementation of the operating plan.
  • Conducts regular audits of the organizational structure and recommends changes to make the organization more efficient, facilitate the process of the new job position creation and deliver job profiles for all roles within Corporate Services
  • To identify opportunities to streamline and drive departmental efficiencies, resource allocation and establish ways of working, manage departmental expense budget and identify opportunity to reduce expenses. 
  • To effectively manage the HR budget and develop plans to ensure sound employment cost management
  • Facilitates communication among employees and management, guide managers and employees on problem solving, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance and litigation avoidance.
  • To effectively manage Employee Relations and ensure sound IR decision-making within the Corporate area
  • To deliver all HR-related annual and ad-hoc projects in accordance with the BU HR calendar
  • To build a high performing team through effective people management and development to ensure capability to meet current and future business objectives. Ensure recruitment and selection is in-line with transformation targets.

·        3-year tertiary qualification (BA, B Comm (HR) , B Soc Sc, B. Ed, B. Bus Science)
·        Desirable: Honours Degree
