Introduction
To manage and grow relationships with Sorbets stakeholders to ensure long-term partnerships, customer satisfaction, and consistent revenue growth. The role focuses on building strong relationships, understanding the franchise partner’s needs, and identifying opportunities to expand the business through new and exciting products or services.
The Key Account Manager also ensures the franchise partners receive a high level of service, resolves issues quickly, and acts as the main point of contact between the suppliers and Sorbet. You will work cross functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery and alignment with Sorbets expectations
Job description
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Liase with external suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Negotiate operational requirements, payment terms, training assistance, product evaluations, order procedure,credit or COD application, rebate, marketing support, and incentives.
- Assist with development of product by portfolio, including intent and implementation thereof
- Maintenance and maximisation of profits including cost control and margin management
- New contract liaison for suppliers. Ensure compliance as set by management
- Resolving franchisee concerns and complaints with suppliers and products
- Managing communications between franchisees and internal teams
- Planning and presenting reports on key supplier progress, promotions, monthly and quarterly initiatives to share with stakeholders
- Maintain and update SOP’s for all new product proposals
- Manage supplier product price increases, negotiate GP%, payment terms, logistics, opening orders, merchandising planogram and MOQ.
- Test samples and provide feedback
- Provide the training department with all new product information and treatment costings.
- Manage roll out and launch of new products to stores, including continuous monitoring of the trial stores.
- Liaison between various departments with regards to new innovation to ensure the products are launched effectively on time
- Manage franchisee communication and internal communication, product category management, reporting, product launches or any relevant information
- Manage supplier relations - NPD communication, product evaluations, meetings, product queries, etc.
- Ensure all Sorbet retail products on Business Systems are accurate and updated, costings, listing, etc.
- Carry out any other Administrative adhoc duties and reasonable instructions by management from time to time.
Corporate and new stores
- Internal product communication between suppliers and internal stores
- Supplier administration- credit applications, opening orders

Minimum requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A suitable tertiary qualification
- A minimum of 3 years’ key account management or procurement experience in the Retail, Beauty or Food-Service Industry in a similar role
- Previous franchising experience is preferable
- Strong track record of successfully delivering growth and profitability
- Has successfully managed people and teams
- Experience in delivering outputs that required cross functional team engagement and input.
- Must have experience in price negotiation, benchmarking, and value chain analysis.
- The candidate must have a proven track record in key accounts or procurement, with relevant references and a passion for beauty
