Introduction
We are looking for talented individuals to join the LEAP team to provide a vital role in keeping pharmacies running smoothly through a responsive helpdesk and onsite technical support services.
Job description

Job purpose:

To be responsible for the support of applications and systems in the LEAP portfolio which includes Dispensary, Front shop applications used in Stores (South Africa – Clicks and Unicare, and independent pharmacies in South Africa and neighbouring countries.

Job objectives:

  • Fielding, logging, tracking support queries from users
  • Ensure software quality by identifying, debugging, and reporting issues through manual and automated processing, preventing defects from reaching users.
  • Ensure applications are correctly configured to accommodate the different set up rules for the above-mentioned areas.  
  • Verify that software meets performance, functionality, and security standards.
  • Work with customers, software specialist and developers and vendors to resolve issues.
  • Assist with documentation of processes and set up.
  • Conduct investigations escalated from users to identify potential bugs or shortcomings in the applications.
  • Identify areas for improvement on the applications.
  • Share skills and best practice with team members to ensure continual growth of the team
  • Training end users on the use of the LEAP Application

Minimum requirements

Minimum requirements:

  • Degree, diploma in IT , or Healthcare or relevant experience.
  • Experience or knowledge of Pharmacy Operations
  • Knowledge of Healthcare IT applications
  • Must be dependable, uses one’s initiative.
  • Ability to liaise with users at all levels.
  • Customer focussed with a professional, consistent: ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Ability to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision to tight deadlines.

 

Desirable:

  • Qualified Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant
  • Working experience on LEAP
  • Knowledge of Pharmacy processes and procedures.
  • Experience in supporting IT applications
