Introduction
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Inventory Operations Manager to oversee end-to-end inbound operations, stock control, and inventory management at our Mahogany Ridge Distribution Centre. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency, financial accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
Job description
Job Objectives:
- Manage and control inventory systems, processes, and reporting in line with deadlines
- Ensure accurate stock valuation and counts (including fixed assets) through cycle counts and variance investigations
- Oversee stock takes and ensure inventory accuracy across the distribution centre
- Ensure accurate valuation and reporting of shrinkage in accordance with IFRS
- Provide inventory-related financial insights and review standard vs actual costs
- Drive achievement of budgeted and agreed financial targets
- Maintain accountability for company assets, including equipment and infrastructure
- Analyse and interpret operational data to identify process improvements and enhance financial performance
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, vendors, and stores to resolve queries efficiently
- Ensure efficient receiving of supplier deliveries and high service levels
- Lead the department to ensure compliance with SOPs, reporting timelines, and operational standards
- Optimise workforce utilisation to drive productivity and performance
- Manage labour broker relationships, including performance, scheduling, and cost control
- Act as a liaison between departments and buyers, including identifying obsolete stock and improving inventory turnover
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of the logistics and distribution environment
- Basic accounting knowledge, particularly reconciliations
- Knowledge of warehouse processes (receiving, replenishment, picking, packing, and stock handling)
Skills:
- Advanced computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent numerical and analytical ability
- High attention to detail
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as an Inventory Operations Manager
- 8–10 years’ experience in a senior managerial role
- Previous logistics/distribution experience advantageous

Minimum requirements
Education:
