Introduction
The Purpose of this role to manage the formulation and delivery of the design and visual look of all stores in order to reflect the store design strategy and represent the organisation’s position as a value retailer while managing the day to day running of teams.
Job description

  • To be the custodian of the image of the Clicks Brands in-store ensuring that the look and feel is aligned to the brand promise, principles, vision, architecture and position. 
  • To be accountable for maximising the store design (space) through innovative layouts, design, fixtures and fittings to ensure optimal usage
  •  lead, effectively manage and schedule the workload of the CAD and design teams in order to achieve the departmental targets, deadlines, budgets and thereby maximising the performance of overall business goals.
  • To provide the necessary coaching of team members in order to ensure their understanding and delivery of the business design strategy while ensuring team professional development.
  •  To manage the store design process i.e. approval of store plans, specifications and fixture in order to ensure compliance and that drawing standards and procedures are adhered to at all times
  • To professionally manage relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers as well as external suppliers, architects, project managers, etc. to ensure optimum delivery of store design projects at all times
  • To ensure up-to-date knowledge on competitor, market and industry trends in order to enrich the design process by suggesting and debating new changes and influencing the design process within the environment

Minimum requirements

Job Experience: 
  • 6-8 years design or property development at senior design management 
  • Exposure to design in retail or a similar environment  
  • Management of teams  
  • CAD Systems 
  • Essential: Design experience 
 
Education
  • 3 year degree/diploma in Design/Architecture or related
