Introduction
Job description
· To complete Clearing Instructions within agreed KPI’s and send to Logistics Service Provider for Customs Clearance.
· To create Child PO’s within the agreed timeframe.
· To upload all Import Documents on Document Management System.
· To follow up with Vendor and Logistic Service Provider on outstanding Import Documents.
· To follow up on outstanding Original Bills of Ladings
· To follow up on outstanding EU1 Certificates
· To track vessel ETA changes and amend vessel ETA dates in ERP system.
· To keep Categories teams abreast of all Purchase Orders that are delayed as a result of custom stops, inclement weather etc.
· To follow up and facilitate/fast track deliveries of containers into DC.
· To ensure that all samples (export and imports) are cleared and delivered to and from head office within the agreed timeframes.

Minimum requirements
- Essential: Basic understanding of customs compliance issues
- Essential: Basic understanding of Incoterms 2010
- Essential: Knowledge and understanding of payments terms such as L/C’s, TT and FBC’s
- Desirable: Knowledge of retail buying processes
- Essential: Problem Solving Skills
- Essential: Communication Skills
- Essential: Analytical Skills
- Essential: Computer Literacy
- Essential: A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in the Shipping/Imports/Exports environment with exposure to freight forwarding, shipping lines and/or customs clearing
- Desirable: 1 year experience in Logistics/Supply Chain/Retail
- Essential: Grade 12
- Desirable: Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Finance
